Ahead of the kanwar yatra that is set to begin next week – in which pilgrims will travel by foot to Uttarakhand and back – police in western Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur districts have ordered all restaurants, food stalls and fruit vendors along the yatra’s route to clearly display the names of their owners and employees.
