A total of 49 seats went to the polls today in the fifth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha election across eight states and Union territories. Overall turnout as of 9 PM was 57.65%. In Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir (Baramulla), turnout was 67.15% and 55.20% respectively. Elsewhere, West Bengal saw a turnout of 73.06% while in Maharashtra it was only 49.15%.
