The Supreme Court today granted bail to Christian Michel, accused of involvement in the Agusta Westland helicopter scam, six years and three months after the British businessman was sent to Tihar jail. His trial has yet to begin but he has already served close to the maximum prison time he would have been sentenced to if convicted.
