Satellite images show signs of a massive Chinese military deployment along the Line of Actual Control opposite Yangtze in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, the site of Chinese incursions in December 2022. In fact, minor incursions have been common in the region. Along with the building of new roads, the development lends credence to warnings by experts that China may want to change the status quo in the east, exactly as it had done in Ladakh. Historically, this region has been particularly important for strategists in China, and is known in their literature as South Tibet.
