Arvind Subramanian, once Modi’s chief economic adviser has said the government has gone “stale, and bereft” of ideas for tackling such problems. 'Ideas for long-term growth and boosting employment -- that is what we're missing now,' he said, as per The New York Times. Rathin Roy, once in the PM’s Economic Advisory Council has said, "There simply isn't enough demand”. He added, "The idea that you can expect supply to create its own demand has its limits.”
