The Indian media and right-wing social media commentators were so happy noting the PDP’s failure to introduce a resolution demanding restoration of Article 370 in the first meeting of the newly elected Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly today that they failed to realise the reference to the restoration of statehood in the Lieutenant Governor’s address came bundled with a thinly-veiled allusion to the restoration of J&K’s erstwhile special status as well:
