The Indian government has temporarily closed 48 of the 87 public parks and gardens in the Kashmir Valley in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people. Though there has been no official confirmation, Reuters reports that the destinations have been closed for security reasons citing a government order. The destinations declared no go areas for tourists include some famous nature retreats and resorts and some popular eateries in downtown Srinagar. The closed spots include both well-known and emerging tourist spots such as Dooshpathri, Kokernag, Duksum, Sinthan Top, Acchabal, Bangus Valley, Margan Top, and Tosamaidan.
