Members of the INDIA bloc and the NDA clashed with each other in parliament today as each side raised slogans accusing the other of insulting BR Ambedkar. Two BJP MPs suffered injuries and one of them, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, blamed it on Rahul Gandhi, saying he pushed a different MP who in turn fell on him (Sarangi). Gandhi for his part said BJP MPs pushed and threatened him as he entered parliament, and that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was injured in the exchange, Sravasti Dasgupta reports.
