This is how it starts and no one knows where this will end. On Wednesday, the Uttarakhand assembly – controlled by the Bharatiya Janata Party – passed a law aimed at controlling the personal life choices of young men and women from the state. Officially called the Uniform Civil Code Bill, the law is neither uniform nor civil.
