With the BJP’s National Democratic Alliance partners lining up behind Narendra Modi, the prime minister today submitted his resignation to the President of India and asked that Parliament be dissolved. He will be sworn in as prime minister again on Saturday, June 8.
The NDA’s official resolution naming Modi as its leader made no reference to the now defeated ‘Modi sarkar’, referring to his first two governments only as the ‘NDA sarkar’.
